Whether it’s your first visit to the Rubin Museum or your tenth, a tour led by our knowledgeable guides can help you connect with the ideas, cultures, and art of Himalayan Asia. The Rubin offers private tours for any audience. A program is created for each group, weaving themes from current exhibitions with thought-provoking discussion. Visitors will leave with a deeper understanding and appreciation of Himalayan art and heritage.

We also offer self-guided visit prices for groups interested in exploring the Museum’s collection and exhibits at their own pace.

  • Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays: Tours available from 11:00 AM
  • Tour Length: 60 minutes

Groups of 10 or more* pay a per person rate for a private Museum tour.

  • Seniors (65 and older): $20.00 each

Groups of 10 or more* pay a discounted per person rate for a private Museum tour every Friday night between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM。 Please note that these tours are 30 minutes in length。

GROUP VISIT GUIDELINES

Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance. The Rubin Museum is closed on Tuesdays.

One guide is assigned to every fifteen people.

*The Rubin Museum of Art can accommodate tour groups of fewer than 10 visitors, with a minimum payment of 10 tickets.

ACCESSIBILITY AT THE MUSEUM

The museum welcomes all visitors and offers guided tours and programs to accommodate all audiences including monthly tours for visitors with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, and Verbal Description and Sensory Tours.
