Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness Meditation

Starting January 1, weekly meditation sessions take place on Mondays at 1:00 PM.

Practice the art of attention in this weekly meditation session guided by teacher Sharon Salzberg and other guest teachers.

Upcoming Meditation Programs

For centuries Himalayan practitioners have used meditation to quiet the mind, open the heart, calm the nervous system, and increase focus. Mindfulness Meditation is a refuge from the world around us, as well as an opportunity to engage with it more consciously.

Whether you’re a beginner, a dabbler, or a skilled meditator seeking the company of others, join expert teachers in a forty-five-minute weekly program, each inspired by a different work of art from the Rubin Museum’s collection. Designed to fit into your lunch break, the program includes an opening talk, a twenty-minute sitting session, and a closing discussion.

Chairs will be provided。 Late comers may not be admitted after 1:10 p。m。, in order to prevent disruption during the sitting session。

This program is supported with thanks to our presenting partners , and .

Awakening Practice

Contemplative practice has its roots in the living traditions of the Himalayas. Join Tashi Chodron and guests in the Shrine Room for a morning mindfulness session, which explores the connections between Himalayan culture, art, and practice. Each forty-five-minute session includes twenty minutes of guided meditation that will explore different approaches, including mantra, mudra, and mindfulness.
